In the early morning hours of July 23, 2017, Joshua Dylan Moody, 23, and his 73-year-old grandfather, Travis Frost, were beaten and shot to death inside their Rabbittown-area home near Piedmont, Alabama. The attack occurred at about 4:00 AM; a female family member who was Frost’s wife and Moody’s grandmother was present but hid and was not harmed.
After the double homicide the assailants stole a Nissan Altima from the residence; that vehicle was later found burned a short distance away. The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office said investigators did not believe the attack was random and identified three suspects from Anniston, Alabama: Jeffrey Jamall Briskey, Rhimington Otarivs Johnson, and Sicondria Michala Carter. Briskey and Carter were later located and taken into custody at an Econo Lodge in Petersburg, Virginia; Johnson remained at large.
Does anyone in the Rabbittown or Anniston area remember seeing suspicious activity or the stolen Altima around July 23, 2017?
