Hey everyone,
I've been reading up on Angela Mary Arseneault's case, and something that's been bugging me is the involvement of the authorities back in '94. From what I've gathered, it seems that the Burnaby RCMP didn't really dive deeply into the initial investigation, especially concerning the state of her apartment. I mean, leaving the scene unprocessed and not interviewing key people until weeks later? That's a bit concerning, no? 😟
I understand that during that time, missing teens were often labeled as runaways, but with Angie having money left untouched for rent and plans to see her mom, it doesn't add up to that stereotype. It makes me wonder how much of the early impressions affected the entire case trajectory. I wish interviews could have been conducted sooner so we'd have more concrete insights about her life just before she disappeared.
The longer I think about it, the more it seems like those early days were crucial for piecing things together. Anybody have thoughts on how different techniques 20 years later might have changed the outcomes if applied back then? Curious to hear what you all think!
