I've always found the detail about Russell’s luggage making it to Winnipeg without him to be the most intriguing aspect of this case. It's one thing for a person to disappear, but for their belongings to complete the journey as if nothing happened? That just baffles me. How does someone go missing from a bus like that without any witnesses or signs? Could it be possible that Russell disembarked at one of the stops and encountered foul play, or even an accident that somehow went unreported? Or maybe there was some sort of mix-up? I feel like this element should have been a key part of the investigation, but with decades gone by and so few details released, I wonder if it ever really was. If anyone has insight or theories on how this could happen, I'd love to hear them.
