Hey everyone, I've been out here reading about the disappearance of Absolom Halkett and James Brady. Something that's been really catching my interest is the abandoned camp they left behind. From what I've read, the campsite was still set up with all their gear intact, which seems so strange, right? I mean, these were experienced guys who knew the importance of staying put in a spot where incoming planes could see them if they got lost or something went wrong. Has anyone else thought about the fact that maybe the pilot really did leave them at the wrong lake? Could it be possible they tried to move to their intended location and just got lost along the way? Still, even that doesn't make complete sense because it seems like they would have left some trace behind. I know foul play theories have been thrown around, especially considering Brady's activism, but it's just all so puzzling without hard evidence. I can't shake the idea that maybe something other than human intervention went horribly wrong out there. Anyway, curious to hear what you all think about the camp and what might have driven two seasoned bushmen away from a perfectly good setup.
