Laventus Anthony Burke, 30, was last seen in St. Albans, Newfoundland and Labrador on August 4, 2008. He left a note for his mother saying he planned to travel west to Alberta for work, with an eventual goal of going to Florida. That note is the last known communication from him.

At the time he disappeared he was described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, about 170 pounds, medium build, with brown hair and brown eyes. After he left home there was no further contact by phone or otherwise, and his family’s worries grew as weeks passed without word.

The case remains open. If anyone knew Laventus, saw him leaving St. Albans around August 4, 2008, or has information about travel between Newfoundland and Alberta around that time, please come forward.
