Has anyone else noticed the stark lack of available information on Ethel Crespo's case from 1971? I was doing some digging and realized how little there is besides her being listed as one of Ontario’s missing children. It's like the details of her disappearance are locked away in some vault, never to see the light of an online search. I get that investigations were different back then, but it seems like there wasn't much public engagement about it even at the time. If the public databases aren't publishing every case, does anyone know what it takes for a missing persons case to be spotlighted by the National Centre for Missing Persons? Could it be that Ethel’s case just fell through the cracks back then and never recovered the media spotlight? It's frustrating to think that new technological methods exist today, but for cases like Ethel's, we might never get the full story unless someone with access decides to revisit it. It's like looking at a puzzle with so many missing pieces, but no way to even start finding where they might be stored. Anyone else have thoughts or insights into how cases from that era might get the attention they deserve today?
