Hey everyone, I've been following Jake's case for a while, and I can't stop thinking about that strange shortcut he took. I grew up not too far from Midland, and I know those wooded trails can be disorienting, especially at night. What really gets me is the possibility of that local resident chasing him. I can see how, if he was already a bit unsteady from partying, a panic could set in quickly. Does anyone have more info about this alleged chase? Were there any witnesses aside from Jake's friend? It's such a chilling thought that he could have been running from someone and lost his way. I'm hoping someone in the community might have overheard something back then that didn't seem significant but could help now. Every little detail could be crucial.
