Shae Lynn McAllister, a 20-year-old member of Horse Lake First Nation and mother of two, disappeared after finishing a shift at the A&W in Fairview, Alberta, on the night of July 4, 2019. She was seen leaving work at about 10:35 p.m. and was last known to be at a nearby Shell gas station at 11:22 p.m.; no one reported seeing or hearing from her after that.
Described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, about 145 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, Shae Lynn was remembered by family as bright, friendly, and devoted to her children. The initial missing person investigation later shifted when the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said, given the passage of time and details of their inquiries, they believed she was unlikely to be found alive and began treating the case as a homicide. The RCMP has issued public appeals, placed billboards in the Fairview area, and offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
Anyone who knew Shae Lynn, was in Fairview on July 4, 2019, or has information that could help investigators is asked to come forward.
