Desmond Raymond Clayton Peter was 14 when he disappeared from Duncan, British Columbia, in early March 2007. He was last seen by his grandmother on March 6, 2007, near the Trans-Canada Highway; another account says family last saw him March 9, 2007, near the old Malaspina College facility on Cowichan Way. A member of the Cowichan Tribes, he was five feet six inches, about 150 pounds, medium build, with brown eyes and straight black hair in a brush cut. He was sometimes known as Desi, Desmond Louie, and Casey Louie.
His grandmother reported him missing three days after the last sighting when he failed to make contact. Searches by the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP and Cowichan Valley Search and Rescue covered land, air, and water; local hospitals were checked and several unconfirmed sightings in Central Vancouver Island were reported but not substantiated. The case remains open and was later reviewed by the BC Missing Person’s Centre.
Did anyone in the Duncan area have contact with Desmond or see him in early March 2007?
