Has anyone else come across the rumor that Gaetan Pichette might have been seen near the Lachine Canal the day after he disappeared? I remember hearing this from a family friend who lived in Verdun at the time, but I haven't found any official mention of it anywhere. It could just be gossip that got mixed up over the years, but it makes me wonder—could someone have seen him there, and it just never got reported properly? If anyone has more info on this or thoughts on why this potential sighting was overlooked, I'd love to hear about it. It's so frustrating when potential leads just seem to vanish into thin air.
