Has anyone ever thought to dive deeper into the truck driver who picked up Matthew and his friend? I’ve seen a lot of focus on the hitchhiking aspect but not much about the driver. In 1999, there weren’t as many checks at truck stops as there might be now. It seems like a lead worth exploring considering the circumstances. I know sometimes truckers can be solitary types, but it doesn’t rule out that someone might remember something or have seen this driver before. Could be worth checking if any truckers passing through Sicamous that day reported a young guy matching Matthew’s description. Just a thought, it feels like a road less traveled in this case.
