Perry Jonathan Sebastian, known as P.J., was 28 when he was last seen on December 26, 2011, in the Southbank area near Burns Lake, British Columbia. He had been visiting a friend in the Nee Tahi Buhn community for Christmas and was reportedly planning to walk to the Francois Lake ferry, stay overnight in Burns Lake and then hitchhike home to Hagwilget Village. He is described as a First Nations male with dark brown hair and brown eyes, between five feet eleven inches and six feet two inches tall, with a slender to medium build.

Perry had his cellphone with him but could not be reached after that day; the phone appeared to be turned off and his social media accounts went silent, which was said to be out of character because he usually kept in touch by text or Facebook. Witness descriptions of his clothing vary but generally list a black hoodie, navy blue track pants and black shoes, with some accounts mentioning a camouflage toque or a black vest. A family member has voiced fear he may have been lured to the Southside and met with foul play.

The Burns Lake RCMP continue to investigate and the case remains open. If anyone has information about Perry’s movements in the Southbank or Francois Lake ferry area on or after December 26, 2011, please come forward.
