I've been following the case of Brandon Rahming’s tragic death, and something that stood out to me was the role of the community and how they responded. It's so saddening to hear how a close-knit neighborhood had to deal with such a terrifying incident. I read that a neighbor heard the shots but didn't realize what they were at first because of the neighborhood noise level. This just breaks my heart for everyone involved, as it shows how commonplace and desensitized we can become to such sounds. It must be incredibly difficult for the people living there to reconcile this event with their everyday lives. My thoughts are with the Rahming family and the neighbors who must be struggling to process what happened right in their midst. I'm also hoping for justice for Brandon, and that as the legal proceedings continue, there’s some sense of closure for his loved ones.
