I can't stop thinking about how Mikesha's life was tragically cut short. It's absolutely devastating that she didn't even get to celebrate her 22nd birthday. It's hitting me particularly hard how a young woman with her whole life ahead of her could end up like this, in a situation that no one should ever have to experience. I can't imagine what her family is going through right now.
From what we know, it sounds like she just met this guy Omar Simpson the night it happened. It's so scary to think that something like this can happen so suddenly and unexpectedly. I really hope that anyone who might have seen something that night or has any information comes forward to help the investigation. We owe it to Mikesha and her family to find out the full truth and make sure justice is served. Can’t help but also feel for her mom, Bernell, and the immense strength she's showing by speaking out and wanting to attend every court proceeding. It's really important for the community to rally around Mikesha's family right now.
