A neighbor dispute in Eastman, Georgia, ended with the fatal shooting of 56-year-old Jim Mack Johnson. Johnson, a Hawkinsville resident, was at a Forest Avenue home on Sunday, May 14, 2023, when he was shot and flown to a Macon hospital. He later died of his injuries.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called in to assist the Eastman Police Department. Investigators identified 21-year-old Napoleon Flowers of Cochran as a suspect. Flowers was arrested by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office; he was first charged with three counts of aggravated assault and, after Johnson’s death, the charges were upgraded to malice murder and felony murder. He was booked into the Dodge County Detention Center.
Are there witnesses or neighbors who can shed more light on what happened that day?
