On the night of August 6, 2024, the body of 43-year-old Dwan Williams was found inside his home on the 3600 block of Howze Street in Moss Point, Mississippi. Williams, a Black man born in New Orleans, had been fatally shot, and the Moss Point Police Department opened a homicide investigation.
Williams attended Pascagoula High School, where he played football for the Panthers, later earned an electrical certificate, and worked at MMR. He is remembered by family for his love of conversation and his habit of telling people Just Listen. He is survived by his wife, Taryn Kyles-Williams, parents, children, grandchildren, siblings and other relatives; he was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.
No motive had been released as the investigation was underway. Does anyone have information about Dwan’s life in Moss Point or the events of that night that could help the investigation?
