I just can't shake how senseless this whole tragedy is. I didn't personally know Oscar Gonzalez, but reading about his life and how much he meant to his friends and family just breaks my heart. He was just driving home—something so many of us do every day—when his life was stolen in such a violent way. I've been following the updates, and while they arrested someone, I really hope the investigation leaves no stone unturned. It's so unsettling to think these things happen so close to home. I completely understand why the community is on edge and calling for more safety measures. It's just devastating to think about the fear and loss his family must be feeling right now. If anyone has more context or info about the case, or even just knew Oscar and wants to share about his life, please post. Sometimes it helps others to feel connected in these moments, especially when justice and healing are hopefully coming.
