I recently came across this tragic case and am just struck by how senseless it all is. I keep thinking about Iyana, Nenah, and Destiny. They were just out, trying to enjoy a concert and make some memories. But to think they ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time just breaks my heart.
The part I can't wrap my head around is the Tesla connection. How bold does someone have to be to use such a recognizable car, especially with the front fender damage making it even more noticeable? It seems like a strange choice if you're involved in such a serious crime. Was it a stolen car? Or did they think removing the plates would be enough to slip away unnoticed? I'm glad to see the LAPD was able to track it to the apartment, but I can only imagine the frustration of finding it empty. I wonder what evidence they were able to collect that ended up leading to the arrests.
