Aundair La’Truahn Bowser, 17, was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound on January 1, 2024, after deputies from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting in the 8000 block of Arezzo Drive near Round Rock, Texas. Aundair was a senior at Premier High School in North Austin and had plans to pursue music or professional football and to move to West Virginia to support his siblings.

Family remembered him as protective, generous and funny; his sister Shauntanair called him her best friend and his mother spoke about the toll of gun violence on young men. A juvenile has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death, but authorities are withholding the suspect’s identity because of age and have released limited incident details. The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.
