Did anyone else catch the statement from Gavin's school about how they handled the tragic news? I can't even begin to imagine the impact this must have had on his friends and classmates. It's commendable that the school addressed it so quickly and offered counselors to help. With something so devastating right before the holidays, those kids need all the support they can get. It makes me wonder how we, as a community, can continue to support the students and staff long term. Maybe organizing some group counseling sessions or support groups to help them cope in the weeks to come? Also, if anybody knows of any memorials planned or ways to offer condolences to the family, please share. I think showing our community's support could mean the world right now.
