On December 6, 2024, at approximately 4:13 p.m., Frisco Police Officers responded to a welfare concern at a residence in the 10200 block of Bancroft Lane. The reporting party had expressed concern after a co-worker failed to show up for work and could not be reached by phone. While en route, officers learned that a family member had called 911 after arriving at the location and finding two deceased individuals in the entryway.
Upon arrival, officers conducted a protective sweep of the residence and discovered a third deceased individual in the garage. The deceased were identified as 54-year-old Ronald Morris, 53-year-old Stacy White, and 15-year-old Gavin Morris. Preliminary information gathered at the scene suggests that this is a double murder-suicide. However, Frisco Detectives continue to investigate all aspects of this case, and a final determination may not be made for some time. Investigators have not released information about which individual may have committed suicide. Neighbors described the family as quiet and respectful. Eulanda Reddick, a neighbor of White's for two decades, stated that White had a "meek spirit" and "didn't bother anybody." She added that White and Morris had been dating for about two years and that Morris had moved into White's home. Another neighbor, William Riddick, mentioned that he would occasionally speak with White, who he referred to as "Miss Stacy." He expressed shock at the incident, stating, "Right now, it's just the shock of it all. This close to the holidays, man."
Gavin Morris was a freshman at Memorial High School in Frisco. The school addressed his death during second period on Monday, December 9, and offered support throughout the day. Counselors were available to assist students and staff through the grieving process.
The Frisco Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths. They have not released further details at this time, as the case remains active and sensitive. The community is urged to come forward with any information that may assist in the investigation.
