John Kaesik, 43, was found fatally shot in the head on July 14, 1993, off an embankment along Highway 103 about 7.7 miles south of Idaho Springs in Clear Creek County, Colorado. Investigators classified his death as a homicide.
Authorities reported Kaesik was involved in low-level drug dealing of marijuana and cocaine and believe he may have been engaged in a drug transaction when he was killed. His black GMC Jimmy was recovered by the Wheat Ridge Police Department on September 7, 1993, at the intersection of I-70 and Kipling. He was also noted to be a frequent patron of The Cinch Bar, then at 8101 Washington Street in Adams County. No arrests have been made and no suspects have been publicly identified.
Anyone with information about Kaesik or his activities around July 1993 is asked to contact the Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office.
