Harry L. Venosdel Jr., 60, was found dead at his home off White Oaks Lane in Tecumseh, Oklahoma, on February 24, 2019, after friends returned from buying groceries around 5 p.m. What first appeared to be a natural death was later determined by the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office to be a double gunshot wound. The scene suggested he had tried to make his way back to his trailer, possibly to call for help after being wounded.
A dog on the property was also found shot to death. Investigators noted Venosdel’s 2007 conviction for lewd acts with a child but reported no immediate link between that conviction and his killing; motive remains unclear. Multiple interviews and leads were pursued, but the case has gone cold and no suspects or arrests have been publicly identified.
Did anyone in the Tecumseh area see or hear anything unusual around February 24, 2019, that could help reopen this investigation?
