Frank Loughran, 72, vanished from his daughter’s home on Louise Drive in West Nyack, New York, on August 17, 1984. He was living with Alzheimer’s disease and diabetes, walked with a limp, and left without identification or money—only a small amount of change. He is 6 feet 1 inch, 165 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes, last seen wearing black pants, a red short-sleeved shirt and black leather shoes.
A search followed; tracking dogs picked up his scent for about a mile before the trail ended at the Champion International Corp. plant on West Nyack Road. The Clarkstown Police Department keeps the file open. Did anyone in West Nyack or near the Tappan Zee Bridge see Frank that day or afterward?
