Kimberly Mabry, 26, was found dead on April 14, 1995, in a remote area near Coleta in Whiteside County, Illinois. Three teenage boys walking along Little Spring Creek discovered her dismembered remains. Kimberly had last been seen alive in September 1994 in Rockford, Illinois; her body was deliberately dismembered, which investigators say was likely done to hinder identification and delayed the inquiry.

At the time she disappeared Kimberly worked as an exotic dancer and had been involved in activities related to drugs and prostitution. People who knew her also say she studied art and design for two years and had connections in the art community, a detail that prompted investigators to consider additional motives or suspects. Authorities report that parts of her remains were scattered, her head was weighted down, and smaller parts were disposed of in separate locations.

The case remains unsolved and law enforcement continues to treat it as an open homicide investigation. Does anyone have information about Kimberly’s last known whereabouts in Rockford or anyone she associated with in 1994?
