Brendan was absolutely loved & adored. His dad, his dad’s best friend Aaron & Bre were frogging in Lake Verret (Pierre Part, LA) when Aaron’s boat hit a dock. Brendan dove in the water & he and his dad called 911 & did CPR. Aaron passed away that night from internal injuries. Then, three years later Brendan’s very best friend, Jestin accidentally shot himself at a friend’s apartment. Brendan was there and held Jestin until the ambulance arrived. Jestin passed in Aug... ...View Post & Comment
I’m so deeply sorry for the unimaginable pain your family has endured and for the loss of your beautiful son, Brendan. Thank you for sharing his story and the love, loyalty, and courage he showed throughout his life—qualities that are so clear in everything you’ve written. No parent should ever have to walk the path you’ve been forced to walk, and it’s heartbreaking to hear how many burdens Brendan carried and how hard you fought to get him the help he deserved.... ...View Post & Comment
Michael Simmons' case has stayed with me ever since I first heard about it. It’s tough to process how much violence plagued Long Beach during that time, and how Michael was taken in the midst of it. Something that stands out to me is the lack of community cooperation that often hinders investigations in such cases. I can’t help but wonder if fear was a factor in why people weren’t coming forward. The potential for retaliation in neighborhoods with active gang presence must be significant. ... ...View Post & Comment

Has anyone been to Goodsprings recently and noticed anything unusual? My cousin used to talk about how quiet that area is, but with Andre Roy's disappearance, I'm starting to wonder if there's more to this small town than meets the eye. Given its historic background and remote location, it seems like the kind of place where things could easily go unnoticed. It's bothering me how there's no information at all on what happened that day. If anyone knows the area well, can you share any insights on ... ...View Post & Comment
SI, do you have any more information about Andre? He was a good friend in school and then I lost track of him. I was told by a common friend that he was a sky diving instructor in Vegas area. Since I am going to Vegas on Jan 12, i thought of looking him up and found this piece of his disappearance. One thing lead to another and this message to you. Appreciate any details? Many thanks, Yogi.... ...View Post & Comment
Hey everyone, I’ve been keeping up with Andre Roy’s case, and something struck me about the location of his last sighting. Goodsprings is such a quiet place, and if you’ve ever been there, you know it doesn’t take long to notice if someone new—or out of place—is around. The remoteness could either mean that very few people were around to witness anything, or it could mean the opposite, that someone local might have seen something unusual. I've been wondering if any locals have come f... ...View Post & Comment

I was reading about Derek Valdepena's case and something that struck me was the involvement of the Riverside County Sheriff's Central Homicide Unit. They usually handle cases with complex circumstances, right? This makes me wonder what kind of evidence or leads they've encountered that makes them think it’s not a simple open-and-shut case. I imagine it's incredibly difficult for Derek's family and friends not to have answers, as they grapple with uncertainty every day. ? It must be especially ... ...View Post & Comment

I’ve been following Christen and Christopher Bell's case closely, and something that really struck me was how beloved they were by their community. It’s clear from everything I’ve read that they were incredibly dedicated to their family — I mean, just look at how involved Christen was with her grandchildren and how Christopher loved spending time outdoors with his loved ones. It's hard to imagine the depth of pain their daughters are going through, losing both parents at once. The commun... ...View Post & Comment

It's been a few years now since Christopher and Christen Bell passed away, and I can't shake the feeling that there's more to the story that hasn't been shared publicly. Youngest daughter here. There is actually nothing more to the story. Yeah, it is unusual for husband and wife to both pass away the same day. Has anyone else looked into the tide and weather conditions on January 1, 2003, around the King Kong Blue Hole? I’ve been researching dive conditions that might have been present that day, and it seems like there might have been some pretty strong currents reported in the area during that time of year. Obviously, this might not solve anything, but could it have played a critical role in whatever happened during the dive? Just thinking about what hidden factors might've contributed. I've been reading about Jennifer Nicol's case, and something that keeps puzzling me is the King Kong Blue Hole itself. I've heard it's a popular but challenging dive spot, and I can't help but wonder if the conditions there might have played a role in Jennifer and her instructor not resurfacing. Has anyone ever heard about the Blasingain case? I recently stumbled upon it and can't stop thinking about how little info is out there regarding Jamie Blasingain's death in Wyatt, Missouri. I just came across this case about Jamie Blasingain, and it really struck me how sometimes, even when there’s a lot of information about someone's life, the circumstances of their death can remain so unclear. I've been following the discussion about the tragic events in Maumelle and wanted to spotlight something that hasn't been talked about much: the role of pets in understanding the dynamics of domestic situations. Pets often provide emotional support and can be considered part of the family... ...View Post & Comment
Hello, I’m glad to see this case spotlighted and specifically your comments about the pets. This case has troubled me from the very beginning, one reason being because of the pets being killed. I recently came across a detail about the investigation into Destiny Mayes' case that has been sticking with me. It's just devastating to think about what her family must have gone through hearing all the things that came out.
