Annetreuna Mésa Paul-Bowden, a 17-year-old Black female, tragically lost her life to gun violence in the early morning hours of May 27, 2021, in Kansas City, Missouri. Officers responded to the sound of gunshots around 12:45 a.m. at an apartment building located on East 42nd Street, near Pittman Road. There, in a common area between apartments, they discovered Annetreuna, who had been shot. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
