On the evening of July 7, 2020, 41-year-old Anndell Lawrence was operating a GMC minivan in St. Louis, Missouri. He was traveling westbound on Interstate 44 near the Cass Avenue overpass around 11:00 p.m. when the violent encounter occurred. As Lawrence drove along the highway, shots were suddenly fired from another vehicle that was also traveling westbound.
