Erin Langhofer, a 25-year-old from Kansas City, Missouri, tragically lost her life on August 2, 2019, during a First Fridays event in the Crossroads District. Erin was attending the event with her boyfriend and friends when she was struck by a stray bullet. The incident occurred when Deon’te Copkney, an 18-year-old at the time, fired nine bullets into a crowd following an altercation.
