In the early evening hours of Wednesday, June 13, 2018, the life of 44-year-old Brian K. Mitchell was tragically cut short in an act of violence. Responding to a call shortly before 6 p.m., Kansas City police officers were dispatched to the 5900 block of East 40th Terrace. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Mitchell lying on the pavement of a parking area, suffering from gunshot wounds.
