In the autumn of 2015, the life of 18-year-old Melvin Pogue was tragically cut short in Saint Louis, Missouri. A recent graduate of Normandy High School, Pogue had been enjoying the homecoming festivities at his alma mater on the evening of October 3rd. Later that night, he was found shot to death in the 6400 block of Myrtle Avenue in the nearby community of Wellston. The promising young man's future was extinguished in an act of violence that left his family and community reeling.
