On a summer evening in Baltimore, tragedy struck the 1000 block of E. Lanvale Street. On June 3, 2022, at approximately 9:26 p.m., police responded to a call for a shooting. There, they discovered 27-year-old Rickie Crenshaw, a Black male, inside a parked vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound to his shoulder.
