In the quiet evening of May 24, 2022, the life of 21-year-old Donte Moore, a Black/African American male from Fort Washington, Maryland, was tragically cut short. Just after 9:00 p.m., the sounds of gunfire pierced the air in the 8100 block of Bernard Drive, a residential street in his hometown. When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a grim sight: Moore was inside a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound.
