On a Thursday afternoon in Baltimore, the life of Lee Jordan Butler, a 30-year-old Black male, was cut short by gun violence. On May 5, 2022, in the Southeast Baltimore neighborhood of Highlandtown, Butler was fatally shot. The incident took place around 12:30 p.m. on the 200 block of South Eaton Street, unsettlingly close to the Highlandtown Elementary/Middle School.
