On a tragic Valentine's Day in Baltimore, Maryland, the life of 16-year-old Montrell Batteast was cut short by gun violence. The Black/African American male was found on February 14, 2022, in the 3800 block of South Hanover Street, suffering from gunshot wounds. Another man, aged 38, was also injured in the shooting incident which occurred at approximately 5:28 p.m. Despite medical efforts, Montrell succumbed to his injuries.
