In the evening hours of May 24, 2023, the life of Tyon S. Purvey Jr., a 29-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short in Baltimore, Maryland. The incident unfolded at approximately 9:13 p.m., when Baltimore Police Department officers were dispatched to the 500 block of West Franklin Street to investigate a reported shooting.
