On a summer morning in Baltimore, tragedy struck when Donta Lavon Sampson, a 45-year-old male, was fatally shot. The incident occurred on July 18, 2021, around 10:31 a.m. in the 800 block of West Lexington Street. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered Sampson suffering from gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, but his injuries proved to be too severe, and he was pronounced dead by medical personnel shortly after his arrival.
