On the night of December 26, 2020, a dispute between two acquaintances in Takoma Park, Maryland, escalated to a fatal conclusion. Anthoneil Hunter, a 34-year-old male from Temple Hills, was shot and killed inside an apartment on the 6800 block of Red Top Road. Takoma Park patrol officers responded to a shooting report at approximately 11:00 p.m. and discovered Hunter suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
