On a cold December afternoon in 2020, the life of Anthony J. 'Tony' Compton Sr., a 48-year-old male, was violently cut short on the streets of Baltimore, Maryland. The fatal encounter occurred around 1:25 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, at the intersection of Vine and Smallwood Streets, where Compton was found shot to death at the scene. He was not the only victim of this brutal act of violence; a woman, Casey A. Helmacy, 34, was also killed in what police described as a double shooting.
