In the early afternoon of August 6, 2019, tragedy struck in northeast Baltimore when 20-year-old Karon Taylor, a Black man, was fatally shot. The incident unfolded in the 2400 block of Bridgehampton Drive, where police were dispatched shortly before 1 p.m. following a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Taylor suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
