On a Friday afternoon, February 22, 2019, in the Park Heights neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland, a young man's life was cut short by gun violence. Deaondre Johnson, a 21-year-old male, was in the vicinity of Park Heights Avenue and Sumter Avenue when the sound of gunfire rang out. At approximately 2:50 p.m., a patrol officer was alerted to the shooting by someone in the area. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Deaondre Johnson suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.
