On the evening of March 28, 2018, a Black/African American male by the name of Derrick Jefferson, age 52, was fatally shot in Baltimore, Maryland. The incident occurred at approximately 10:15 p.m. in the 1700 block of North Payson Street. Jefferson, a former U.S. Marine who was working as a cab driver, was found with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
