In the late afternoon heat of the Fourth of July, a dispute escalated into fatal violence that claimed the life of 33-year-old Demarco Robinson of Lanham, Maryland. On that Tuesday in 2017, at approximately 3:40 p.m., Robinson was a passenger in a car near a liquor store in the 7300 block of Landover Road when an argument erupted with individuals in a nearby van. The verbal altercation quickly turned deadly as shots were fired into the car Robinson occupied.
