A young Black man, identified as 24-year-old James Blake, was fatally shot on the evening of October 29, 2014, in Southwest Baltimore. The incident occurred around 6:55 p.m. in the area of the 1 South Catherine Street.
Officers from the Baltimore Police Department responded to reports of a shooting and upon arrival, discovered Blake suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The case was investigated by the homicide unit, which at the time, was seeking information
