In the early moments of a July morning in 2014, the life of Tavone Dennis was cut short on a street in West Baltimore. Just after midnight on Saturday, July 5th, officers were called to the 2500 block of Christian Street, where they found the 28-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. Dennis, a Black male, was rushed to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
