On the late evening of March 2, 2011, in Temple Hills, Maryland, a young life was tragically cut short. Delonte Michael McCray, an 18-year-old Black male from Suitland, was discovered lying on the roadway in the 2600 block of Keating Street around 11:13 p.m., suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency services responded to the scene of the shooting and transported him to a local hospital. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on March 3, 2012.
