Crystal McBride, a 24-year-old mother of four, was senselessly shot and killed on the evening of June 28, 2018, in Waycross, Georgia. The tragic incident unfolded at the Garlington Heights apartment complex, where she had just returned home from work. According to her family, McBride was caught in the crossfire of a shooting that erupted outside her apartment. In a final act of maternal devotion, she was struck by a bullet as she ran to bring her child, who was still outside, to safety.
