On a Wednesday in the autumn of 2008, a young man's life was tragically cut short in Capitol Heights, Maryland. David Jamal Harper, a 27-year-old father, was the victim of fatal gun violence on September 24th of that year. He left behind three children: two sons, Dashia and David, and a daughter, D'Nia.
