On a Saturday afternoon, just four days before Christmas in 2019, the life of 22-year-old Ian Dawley of Suitland, Maryland, was tragically cut short. The young man was found outside on December 21st, in the 5200 block of Marlboro Pike in Capitol Heights, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the response of patrol officers to the report of a shooting at approximately 4:10 p.m., Dawley was pronounced dead at the scene.
