In the predawn hours of August 25, 2007, the quiet of a Landover, Maryland neighborhood was shattered by gunfire. Eric Charles Bowie, a 44-year-old man, was shot in the 7700 block of Penbrook Place, just two blocks from his home on Normandy Road. The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m.
